On 8 December 2021, educational authorities from all over Ukraine took part in a mixed format ( face-to-face and distance) to discuss the further implementation of school education reform in Ukraine.

It was based on the updated Roadmap for the implementation of the New Ukrainian School reform in grades 5-12, developed by the NGO Re:Osvita with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada, the State Service of Education Quality of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment, the Ukrainian Institute of Education Development, and heads of district education departments in Kyiv.

Heads of education departments (RSAs/LSAs) and school principals from all over Ukraine joined the discussion remotely via ZOOM. Some of the participants joined the event online on Liliya Hrynevych’s Facebook page, where the event was broadcast.

In total, more than 500 participants took part in the event, and the online broadcast was viewed by more than 11,000 viewers.

“The management level needs clear answers and coordination for the further implementation of the New Ukrainian School. We are glad that so many participants joined our discussion. By the end of December, we will publish materials based on the results of the event so that each participant can keep the presentations and key ideas of the speeches,” pointed Liliia Hrynevych, Head of the board of the NGO Re:Osvita, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2016-2019.
